The most “stream visible” improvement for IPEG-D40F-IRW2 is our latest generation of Starlight 4 MP QHD CMOS video sensor. Under the camera’s 2.8mm / 107° FOV lens, it maintains color down to 0.008 Lux. In complete darkness below that, 98+ feet of SmartIR night vision provides sharp grayscale imaging for 24/7 coverage. This dome camera's 4MP / 2688 × 1520 pixel density ensures its performance is unmatched for superior streams for both NVR and VMS systems, no matter which of the camera’s multiple output resolutions are set.

While this camera makes integrator’s lives easier by offering a wide variety of output modes to fit every application, when used with IC Realtime NVRs, the IPEG-D40F-IRW2 streams can be set to our Smart H.265+ encoding technology. This next-generation H.265 encoding includes cutting-edge "scene adaptive encoding" and what our engineers call "a multi-frame reference structure" and intelligent noise reduction. Together, these technologies make Smart H.265+ capable of saving up to 70% of stream bandwidth and reducing HD storage loads over standard H.265.
